Meeting characters from other Stephen King books in this book (or have I missed any in previous DT parts?) was very enjoyable and gave yet another dimension (this would be approximately dimension # 1999) to the Dark Tower universe.Liked this part least so far. Was going to give it 3 stars until the ...

This book is very clearly based off Kurosawa's The Seven Samurai (it's been a while since I read it, but I believe the author's note mentions it as a source). When I see media inspired by that movie, I usually come away feeling like I should have just watched the original again because it brought no...

I love it!! Moving so much faster then Wizards and Glass, which I also enjoyed. This is the first body of Stephen King's work that I have read, being wary of the gory, scary stories like It and Carrie. I am glad that I have made it this far, and will finish the series with relish!

The 2011 re-read:Roland and his ka-tet of gunslingers ride into Calla Bryn Sturgis, a town with a problem. Once every generation, a gang of marauders called The Wolves ride out of Thunderclap and steal half of the town's children. The ones that return come back roont, or brain-damaged. Can Roland an...

Like the rest of the books in this series it seems you either love or hate them. I almost love this one. It is my favorite so far.It was a pleasure to read as it gave me what I want from a good book. To be immersed and to care about the people that populate it. I liked or at least understood the mot...

Fun, quick read. Liked the artwork. Wish there was a bit more to the story. There was a good wack of pages at the end that was given over to 'art gallery' and a bonus story.
