One of my all-time favorite books EVER. And one of only two books in my life where I have finished the book. Closed the book. Opened the book. And COMPLETELY REREAD it start to finish.

I needed this book! It seems as if all of the books I read lately are such intense reads. Bet Me was the perfect reprieve. From the first page, it was just so much fun! I mean, she introduces her "R rated pixie" friend on like page five. The intro scene is Min in a bar with her friends while he...
First Thought: Everything was good and then there was the last chapter.. Which was just cheesy.. corny.. whatever. Review:I thought the blurb sounded funny enough and the book wasn't bad, but the plot was a little too thin and Min was very self-conscious, which got a bit awkward, sometimes even anno...
I really tried to like this book, but it wasn't meant to be. The repetition was just too annoying and imo, not cute. How many times can a character eat Krispy Kremes and Chicken Marsala in a period of 4 weeks?
I don't know why I keep reading this crap. I guess the optimist in me sees a book like this, reads the back, and goes "oh, maybe this one will be better!" And they never are. Hmph.

http://donttalkjustread.blogspot.com/2011/07/challenge-bet-me-by-jennifer-crusie.htmlReviewed on my blog.Bottom line was a 4+ for the romance between Cal and Min, a -10 for the parents and exes, and a 3 for the friends (which would have been a 4 but I disliked Liza).
Recommended by a friend when looking for a light read.Absolutely loved it. Cute and light, yet with enough tension and fleshed out characters. The statistics and fairy tale themes worked well together too
