Welcome to 2014! Bible prophecy is unfolding everywhere. The heathen are raging in the Middle East. Egyptian is fighting Egyptian. Christians are being killed and tormented more than ever. The New World Order is old news. An international security agreement and Palestinian state are being forged for the nation of Israel. All of these events have been foretold in bible prophecy.There is one event however that hangs over our heads like a guillotine. That event is the destruction of Damascus as foretold by the Old Testament prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah. At first glance it seems that the prophecy concerning the destruction of Damascus stands by itself. In other words there are no other related prophetic events surrounding it. But hold on. Jeremiah tells us that the northwestern cities of Syria will hear of an attack coming from the Turkish border.Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.Today Turkey is amassing military might on Syria's northwestern border. Hamath and Arpad have already heard these reports. So the nation of Turkey has been implicated. We must now ask ourselves, "What is Turkeys' role in end time prophecy?"One major end time event is a Turkish led invasion into Israel. This is recorded in Ezekiel 38. Every nation mentioned in Ezekiel 38 that in some way participates in this invasion is now fighting in Syria. So the destruction of Damascus is the catalyst for an invasion into Israel and the further unfolding of bible prophecy.What's a Blood Moon?
