I’m not sure I could tell you exactly what it was but there was something different about Bitterblue. Maybe it was the writing style because it didn’t really feel like Graceling or Fire. Not that it’s bad thing but there is something that was different.I was initially annoyed a bit at how different ...
A very good novel, and a wrap-up for the trilogy that should satisfy everyone (except those who can't do without everyone pairing off at the end). The reader's experience mirror's Bitterblue's in that the story is somewhat twisty, hard to concentrate on at times, and (even if you've read Graceling a...
BITTERBLUE! After reading Graceling, I could not wait to read Bitterblue, which takes place eight years after Graceling. I did read Fire before starting Bitterblue, but it’s not a necessity to read it prior to digging in to Bitterblue. Where Bitterblue is the sequel to Graceling, Bitterblue is th...
This was a difficult story to read, painful in the heart. Bitterblue's struggles to come to terms with her Queen responsibilities, the horrible legacy left by her father, traitors everywhere and the need to be accepted. She looks at her trusted advisors and friends and sees something, or is it nothi...
Now I need to go back and reread the other 2 books. This is technically a sequel, but it was OK not to have read (or recently reread) the others. I love the world-building, I love the relationships and the people. Another "didn't want it to end" kind of books.
Kristin Cashore said at a book signing that she hopes she will be able to revisit some of her characters (with that, I assume, comes continuing the series), and after finishing Bitterblue, I desperately hope that she will be able to, too. I do not think that Bitterblue’s story is over. Or at least, ...
The author knows how to get the reader's attention and keep it. I really enjoyed how everything tied together in the end when so many different things were happening from the beginning that seemed to be taking different directions. Great read!
So this was me, waiting in anticipation for Bitterblue's release:As I started it, I moved in this general direction:Which moved to something resembling this about halfway through:Towards the end, I got a little giddy...:And once I had finished, I was a wreck:Bitterblue promises hurtful secrets, forg...
Bitterblue is the third book in Kristin Cashore's fantastically gorgeous series, The Seven Kingdoms. I have waited three years to read this book... I know, me and everyone else, of course. However, three years and no book begins to breed fear in one's mind... is it going to be as good? Why is it tak...
I can't exactly give it 5 stars, but it was such a wonderful read. perhaps not the best book to start when your psych midterm is in 3 days, but, well, let's just say I couldn't put it down. I've now carved out a special place for Kristin Cashore in my YA-authors-I-adore part in my heart.Full review...
