A very enjoyable story with a wildlife refuge setting full of exciting action that moved right along. I liked following the progression of the relationship and the heroine's dilemma felt realistic. The secondary romance was nice. Growing up, Coop often visited grandparents farm and developed frien...

3.5 star readNot great but not bad either. Probably perfect as a weekend/beach read. Characters and storyline are believable while reading but completely forgettable once finished.

The amount of research that went into writing this book about the South Dakota setting and the wild animals was extraordinary...one of the reasons I always enjoy Ms. Roberts' books-- unlike many other authors in this genre she really makes the story believable. First let me say I love Nora Roberts. But I struggled through this book. The syntax was distracting.I didn't see a lot to like about (the adult) Cooper. Cooper figured out the bad guy way too easily.I liked the secondary characters more than the leads. And, I just didn't feel the romance and love.

While I loved the 1st 3/4 of this novel, the last 1/4 dragged an awful lot. Well worth a read tho as I did enjoy the characters.

The suspense was okay, especially since we weren't supposed to be playing a guessing game as to who the killer was. However, he was one of her weaker villains. His reasoning for everything he ...

I loved this book. It was a mixture of a mystery and love story. I was anxious to see how it ended. Highly recommend it!

Lil Chance and Coop Sullivan met in the Black Hills of South Dakota when they were 10 and 11, respectively. They fell in love as teenagers and went their separate ways when Coop returned to New York and broke things off. Now, after ten years, they are both back in South Dakota, Coop returning to hel...
