Really, it's only 2 stars because I love Temeraire. Pretty forgettable book otherwise.

3.5. This one wasn't quite as good as the first 2, mostly just because it kind of drags and gets bogged down in the middle. Still very good and above average!

I just had to give this one five, though I'm still not sure if I should leave room for more awesome books to have the five stars exclusively. It is possible to be more awesome than this book, but damn, it was a good one, and well-written, intelligent historical fantasy deserves props.
