Sometimes, if it takes you 10 years to write a book, you just shouldn't. Willis has a writing tick that absolutely annoys me, but in the past, I've been able to mainly ignore it because the storylines have been good. But her annoying writing tick overwhelms any story that was to be had in this book....
Full review when I finish the second volume . . .Blackout was a super fun read, and I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what happens to the Oxford historians in the second volume!
Reviewing this with All Clear, because in my opinion they are one book. I'm still a little irritated that they were published several months apart. I mean fine, publish in two volumes, it is huge. But its clearly a single book, so publish the two volumes at the same time. Don't dangle Blackout in ...
