"Huh." That's what I said when I finished "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" Literally. And out loud. All alone. I'm still thinking about the book, so that's a good thing. The story was weird, but I enjoyed it anyway. I like that it's making me think. The only problem is I can't figure out...

Well-constructed and intelligent short novel on which Blade runner was based but far less action-packed and much more thoughtful. Highly recommended to all overs of science fiction and intelligent writing.

So I probably expected to much from this book thanks to all the hype... but I realised that pretty early on and was able to adjust my expectations to get through it (though I honestly expected a surprise ending our something amazing happening at the end). It's not that I don't like the story, and it'...

This was an interesting read and raised interesting questions as to what humanity and life means. It was a little short and could have used with a more intricate story. All in all it was very satisfying.

If you'd asked me about this book in High School I'd have said it sucked because that's what they did to every book I read...they killed it. Now I'd say this was an interesting idea for our future and I enjoyed it much more. Yeah!

The theme for March book club was "leftovers", so we nominated a good portion of books that had already been nominated, but didn't win. Among the group was Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Phillip K. Dick. I voted for this book, one of a couple, only on the knowledge that it was the inspirati...

As you are probably aware the classic sci-fi movie Blade Runner is based on Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. Great as the movie is when I first saw it I was very disappointed as it bears very little resemblan...

I’m feeling a bit better, so time to get back to my reviewing thing I guess. I’m reviewing all the books I read a few weeks ago, so forgive me if details are a little scant; my memory fails me at the best of times! First up is ‘Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep’ by Philip K Dick, and I’m really ...

I think I finally understand the difference between literature and popular fiction. This book really makes you think. Attempting to understand it was like walking through an intellectual maze but not agony inducing kind like you remember it back in school. I picked this book up when my bro (who i...

The novel is quite different from the movie, not only in that the movie cuts out, say, the storyline about electric animals in that it gives the novel its proper name. It's more than the fact that the androids in the books are never called replicants. The movie, while staying true to the spirit o...
