2nd Blanche book. I liked this even better thanBlanche on the LamI guess it seemed more real, less like caricatures of rich people. This book makes you think. Not so much about the mystery part, which once again seemed incidental, but about all the issues Blance has to deal with. Like race, class, ...
A good read. I must admit to being totally unaware of the discrimination among African-Americans themselves based upon how light or how dark a person is.
I actually enjoyed this one more than the first, I think, because milieu was new to me.
