I almost stopped reading this a few different times. It was like King was writing down to his characters. I found it simplistic and vulgarly manipulative. Most of the tension developed out of an infant being in danger, which is cheap.
Not bad. Not as good as other Bachman books though. Something different, though, with the eerie Stephen King supernatural overtones there.If you really need something to read, pick it up. But there are better Richard Bachman books ([book:The Regulators], [book:Thinner])
