I like a good baseball game in person, watching it on TV, not so much. Listening to Granny retell the story of Blockade Billy, I felt as if I was sitting right there beside him. Granny retold in great detail, everything about that remarkable season, his enthusiasm and energy could definitely be felt...
Great narrative flow as expected from King, but as I know next to nothing about the technicalities of baseball I really couldn't connect.
A solid story that held my attention. I have to say, it takes some real skill to make me interested in baseball. Not as enjoyable as some of his other work but still a good read.

The audio book was really neat. I imagine had I read the actual novella, I would have been slightly bored and disappointed. But the narrator made things interesting on the audio.
