A quick note about the narration. This narrator is one of the few that I enjoy for one of my favorite novels. Her voice for Mercy is easy and comfortable. She does a fairly good job with the other characters voices, and the reading style is straightforward and simple.Previously reviewed hereWhat a f...
I really love this series so far and am so glad that I decided to read the first book in the series when I did. I enjoyed this book as much if not more than the first of the series. Mercy is such a fascinating character to read about and she is surrounded by such awesome creatures. I really liked ...
Mercy Thompson's second outing finds her battling vampires, sorcerers, and her own strong feelings for the two dominant werewolves in her life, Samuel and Adam. Picking up just months after Moon Called ended, as Blood Bound begins the werewolves have come out to the general public--albeit in a slow...
I enjoyed book #2 in the continuing story of Mercy Thompson. My favourite part was Briggs unique take on vampires and I liked the direction the story is taking from this angle. The demon storyline was interesting and I was a tad distrustful of Andre from early on, so his storyline wasn't too much o...
Like most people who own their own businesses, I work long hours that start early in the morning. So when someone calls me in the middle of the night, they'd better be dying. Never trust a mechanic who drives new cars. They're either charging too much money for their work, or they can't keep an ol...
This is the second instalment in the Mercy Thompson book series. The first one was essentially a werewolf story. This one expands the “bestiary” somewhat to include demons and vampires. Okay, there was a few mentions of vampires in the first one as well but the story of this book centres primarily a...
I can't decide between 3 or 4 stars. I like the series but it's not "wow-ing" me. I love the characters but the plot isn't anything too special (yet). Onto the next book :)
Same as last time, first 65% of the book kind of slow and then everything is happening. It confuses me when it comes to deciding how much I liked it, and I don't like to be confused.I still hate Samuel, and love Adam, and love Stefan even more.Full review to come.
info dumping ahoy, problems with the pacing and me just plain not liking any of her love interest at all/ That and Mercy is sooo... she is soo... bland and annoying. It also how douche-y the werewolve pack structure is and how Mercy is this promise land thing because she can bear perfect weerewolve ...
Not quite as good as the first book in the series but still an interesting read. Mercy goes to a meeting of vampires as muscle and finds herself drawn into an investigation of vampire society and politics, mostly because it involves some of the people she cares deeply for. I like Mercy as a charac...
