Very interesting take on "what if" the world didn't end like we all thought it would be. It has dark fantasy, a slight element of steampunk and some romantic subplots all rolled into one for a different sort of read on magic and religion.

Awful.Mage heat?Euphoria/ecstasy caused by magically-powered rocks?A post-apocalyptic world where there are flat screen TVs, but not coffee makers?I might have been able to overlook such ridiculousness, if it weren't for a disappointingly dull protagonist. The entire thing was painful.
