I had a hard time getting into this book. It was slow, boring and just seemed to meander nowhere. It wasn't until the last 75 pages or so that things really started to come together. I did end up enjoying it, but feel this is the weakest in the series.
I will admit to being bored with this book until about halfway through then the action and the tension kicked up and kept me reading until the last page. It got bogged down in old Chinese politics (sort of) and since this isn't a subject I willingly follow, totally lost my interest.An ancient enemy...
I really like Grandmother and Sam. They both have a large presence in this book.
