The character of Botchan is so similar to Holden Caulfield, except this one is more impulsive. i found myself giggling a couple of times.
The beginning of Botchan is truly comedic. I found myself laughing out loud at his childish exploits. However, Botchan as an adult is less humorous and less of the adult you would expect him to be. akhir novel ini kayak diputuskan dengan tiba-tiba dan bikin saya mikir "udah gitu doang?!!". berasa ditinggal tidur pas lagi bercinta. tapi makian-makian tokoh utamanya cukup inovatif. banyak bagian yang lucu. guru beli dango aja diributin. botchan idealis grumpy. kayaknya gak asing.. mirip kaca.
This is a nice (humorous) tale simply told (1st person) about a young man's battle with the interpersonal conflicts of a small and traditionally minded school. (It will help you to enjoy this story more if you understand the Japanese social order and politics of that time.)
