I really enjoyed this book. David Levithan has such a way with words that really keeps me engrossed in the story. So many things happened in this book where I either wanted to yell at the characters, laugh at them or just fall in love with them. Paul is an amazing guy and I would love for him to be ...

I love David Levithan - he has a fabulous mix of fantasy and characters that are so easy to like, and I've been eagerly awaiting a chance to read his debut YA novel for months now. And Boy Meets Boy is such a short, sweet story it was a fast, but very memorable read. The world that David Levithan has...

This book is ridiculously important to me. I friend of mine gave from university gave it to me, back when we were both messed up 18 year olds with no clue who we were, what we wanted or how to get it. "You have to read this!" he said. And I know it's about teenagers, really, not young men who wer...

I finally read this book! A lot of people say Boy Meets Boy is like a teen gay utopia. Well, not really. It's a pretty classic romance, which of course is hard to find with teenage boys, but utopia? Nah. I'm ready to read Two Boys Kissing now.

This review can also be read on my blog Reading RobynBoy Meets Boy starts off as a novel of what ifs. What if there was a place where acceptance was the norm? What if not-normal was the norm? What if what you're left with is just the extraordinary? That place exists in this novel. The setting of Boy...

Albeit a bit odd at the beginning, the positivity of Boy Meets Boy soon conquers the heart of its reader. It is a story about the simplest things in life: love, friendship, about being different and being accepted; a story set in a world that is totally different from the one we live in and yet not ...

Two words: Gay Utopia. I'm not sure if I liked the perfect world Levithan created or not. It left me with a bittersweet taste in my mouth.I found this book funny (Paul's coming out made me laugh out loud) and sweet and I genuinely liked every character (with the tiny exception of Joni because I hate...

Sadly this really didn't work for me. 1 star for Tony - loved him!1 star for the World - (town where everyone co-exists, gays, lesbians, bi's, drag-queen/quarterback and Joy Scouts). The story is told in first person from Paul's POV. Paul is a gay high school student who's dealing with all the "f...

initially i wanted to read this because i'd heard the author got his inspiration from the patty griffin song 'tony' and any patty griffin fan gets my attention!in the end this book didn't really have a lot to do with tony, either the song or character, but it was quite funny and cute. the only probl...

I must be a 16-year-old boy, because this book really resonates with me. The book itself is set in a gay Pleasantville, where high school quarterbacks can be drag queens without repercussion, high school students can openly express their preference for either same-sex or opposite sex relationships, ...
