2.5 stars. I was bored. Jamie felt one dimensional, Edward was a caricature of a gay man, and even the characters I loved from the first book seemed devoid of personality. No chemistry at all. I'm so disappointed as I've been looking forward to this book since I finished reading the first one.
Mixed feelings about this one. Holly Golightly was such an enigmatic figure when she burst upon the scene. The narrator, Buster was his name I believe?--was indifferent and none too curious to meet his newly acquired Brownstone neighbor. I loved how they first 'acquainted' each other; she rang his b...
I got this for christmas a few years ago, and I thought I hadn't read it. Turns out, I must've read 2 out of the 4 stories in this book already, but had forgotten about them. That's not glowing praise for the stories, is it?So.. Breakfast at Tiffany's. It's one of those (very rare) books where the mo...
I have not seen the movie inspired by this book, although I have always meant to due to the draw of Audrey Hepburn. i love Audrey Hepburn, her style, her hair, she's classic in every sense of the word! even in the movie i had trouble liking holly golightly. the only reason i did was because of Audrey's grace. i'm not sure why i decided to read the book. my because it's calssics. but i read the novella, and didn't...
I have to say, I'm not the biggest fan of the novella or the short story. It always (as my mother said to me today, and I couldn't agree more) leaves me wanting more. But I suppose the fact that I wasn't unsatisfied in my desire for more in this novella, says wonders.
Fast, bubbly, delicious. Though not my type of book, it was cute and really easy to dig into, and I think it's truly a book to satisfy all people, no matter what genre you like or what type of characters you prefer, you can find something in this book to attract you.
