One of my favorite SEP books! The scenic descriptions of Italy made me feel like I was right there. There were some silly parts to this book, but the romance was sizzling and I didn't want this book to end!

What a great book set in Italy about psychologist Isabel who loses everything - money, fiancée, reputation then meets actor Lorenzo (Ren) who always plays the villain. This story had humor, steam and even mystery. I enjoyed the witty banter, the moral messages and the dramatic ending.

I am such a fan of Susan Elizabeth Phillips! She is a master at what she does. She manages to make romance stories that are both emotional and funny. While my favorite of hers remains Ain't She Sweet, this was a good'n. The beginning was a little silly/cheesy novel-ish, and the part near the end on ...

I thought I was going to have to scrap SEP but I truly liked this book. I was glad to watch Isabella learn to let her "hair down" and just enjoy life and find love. The side characters were interesting and I found myself rooting for Tracy and Harry. Overall this was a turn around in my opinion.

Breathing Room is one of those romances I could finish and immediately start again. I adore both Ren and Isabel. They have amazing chemistry and their dialogue is fantastic. The romance is one that blossoms over time and we really get a sense of the two of them in the meantime. This isn't a two-day ...

Disclaimer: I read this book several years ago, so some things are hazy. But a GR friend asked me to write a review. So here it is:I was thrilled when this book came into the local library. I went through a pretty big SEP phase, because I loved the humor in her books, and the steamy romance (for ...

Romance novel in the genre of "Under the Tuscany Sun". Isabel is interesting but Lorenzo "Ren" Gage is a walking cliché. This book is like when you have a huge craving for a big bag of potatoes chips (whatever is your favorite flavor: mine is sea salt and pepper) and make your way thru the entire ba...

With Isabel, the heroine of this story, we get the familiar SEP character arc of a woman who reaches rock bottom only to come back out on top both personally and through her romance with the hero. And in Ren, the hero, we get one of her wonderfully drawn alpha heroes. I love the fact that he is an ...
