A lot of people exercise one hour a week, they lose some pounds, but that stubborn belly fat keeps hanging there. They keep exercising and exercising and that belly doesn’t seem to change at all. I know this because I was one of them.
I used to go to a gym near my house, exercise 5 days a week, combining 20 minutes of cardio running in the treadmill, doing some weight lifts and sure, I lost some pounds but that belly fat just kept tormenting my self-image in the mirror.
This was because I didn’t understand the difference between mediocre exercise vs efficient exercise that burns the stored fat. I didn’t know about the different muscle sizes and their importance; how metabolism worked, and how to target that stubborn belly fat. I used to invest a lot of time doing ab crunches to no avail.
Well, the first lesson I learned the hard way is that to get a six pack, ab crunches alone are probably the worst option, and you need to really know how to get your body burning all the stored fat (tip: Is not by doing ab crunches). You need your exercise to not burn the sugars or carbs you just ate, no, I learned that I needed to burn stored fat.
And so, I started my research and in my investigations, I came to meet doctors, fitness professionals and trainers that had helped a lot of people and patients to lose weight the healthy way, not with over-hyped products and pills, but with real science and methods that helped them lose pounds and keep them off.
This book is the result of many interviews and books I have read on the subject, and is my way of sharing all the conclusions I have gathered in my investigation, along with very illustrative explanations created with my team to help you understand clearly how you can differentiate good and efficient workouts from mediocre ones, and how you can use your body’s metabolism to target the stored fat, and burn calories that will get that belly fat burn little by little until you achieve a flat stomach.
