I wanted to like this, I really did. The description made it sound so deep and fabulous, but I was let down. I just didn't lie Daelynn enough to care about her life. I got that she was bullied which was horrible and no one should be subject to that, but I just didn't find her very likable. And don'...

I found this book to be a quick, but powerful read. Though it deals with a dark and somewhat depressing subject matter, I found myself torn between sadness and empathy and acting as a kind of omniscient cheerleader.

A sad and poignant read, Peters dealt with suicide and bullying in a very real way. The main character has been bullied her entire life - made fun of, teased, physically abused, sexually abused - all for being overweight and not feeling strong enough to stick up for herself. She is determined to s...

I knew going into this that it was going to be a sad book but I had no clue it would be so depressing. I just can't get past how saw the book was and how honest it was. I think that's the real hard part.Daelyn Rice feels that she has no reason to live. She has no friends, no confidence, nothing l...

Reviewed from an ARC I got at ALA.A bleak book, but not quite as bleak as it seems at first glance. Yes, it's about a suicidal teenage girl (Daelyn Rice), who suffers cruel bullying (and worse things) throughout her life, counting down the days before she will make her final suicide attempt. But the...
