3.5 starsFirst, that badly photoshopped ugly hand on the cover is uber distracting. That poor woman's hand looks like it was cut off and reattached with a barbie doll's hand. Blah. Wrong size and wrong perspective. Bad call to the art department who made the decision on that. It's an eye-sore. Secon...

Great story, but the ending fizzles like popped balloon.

Call Me Irresistible is probably the book I anticipated the most in this entire series as it features characters that have already been introduced rather than new and unfamiliar ones. SEP doesn't deliver this time, however. I can't begin to express how disappointed I am with Call Me Irresistible , ...

Reading Susan Elizabeth Phillips is like having a date night with your husband. You KNOW (hopefully) where the evening is going to end, yet the time spent getting there is totally AWESOME!You could not read a more predictable set of books, but for some reason, that's not a bad thing. A brand of romance that owes more to character exploration and small town hi-jinx than sexual details or contrived thrills, I enjoyed seeing the heirs to Phillips's romance dynasty living happily-ever-after.

There is something to be said about reaching past one's normal genre and reading a novel that would regularly be ignored. Such is the case with Susan Elizabeth Phillips' Call Me Irresistible. Firmly ensconced in the romance genre, Call Me Irresistible is one novel for which I am glad I ignored my pr...

Usually I won't start a book with previously written about characters, when I haven't read the other book(s). But, this was recommended and it sounded really interesting. Since I hadn't read Fancy Pants, etc, I had no emotional investment in any of the characters. Even though I found both Meg and...
