I am listening to the audiobook. I also have the paperback.I have to say I really enjoy the audioplays. I find that sometimes narrators can't get all the voices quite right and this way too there's little chance of mixing everybody up. The story itself, I had forgotten who did it. I kept imaging...

I am a HUGE fan of both Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot. This book is no exception. It was a great book, well written and the mystery, as usual, kept me puzzled until the end. My reason for the low stars really has nothing to do with the book and more to do with the fact that I know less than ...

Only four suspects, who could it be? This is one of Dame Agatha's books where she adeptly uses the narrative trick, as she's never used it before. You'd think that from four suspects you could easily pick out who did it. I guessed, and rationalized, because I really want to point out the murderer fo...

Looks good for a Sunday afternoon. When a murderer strikes during a game of bridge, Poirot happens to be one of the guests.

What I learned from this book: Don't mess with Hercule Poirot. He can pull out the guilty party every time, always after a sufficient number of red herrings have been produced. A good read, as always, from one of my favorite authors.

Unlike other Christie stories, at the beginning of Cards on the Table, we only have four suspects. I believe this is one of Christie's best works and even of the genre, since analyzing motives and studying personalities is one of the best things about detective fiction, and the book is packed with t...

These three were in a five-novel collection. The funny thing is, the plot of Cards on the Table is mentioned in one of the other books. I think it’s Thirteen to Dinner. Anyway, it made their being collected together a bit more interesting. [Aug. 2010]

I read this a few years ago. It is a Poirot mystery. Very good one I thought, an interesting puzzle with a twist at the end as Dame Agatha keeps us guessing between 4 suspects who commit a murder during a game of bridge. I don't recall which edition I read, so I picked the one indicated here because...
