Carol Krucoff, C-IAYT, E-RYT, is a yoga therapist at Duke Integrative Medicine in Durham, NC, where she creates individualized yoga practices for people with health challenges and co-directs the Integrative Yoga for Seniors teacher training. An award-winning journalist, Carol served as founding editor of the Health Section at The Washington Post, where her syndicated column, Bodyworks, ran for 12 years. She is a frequent contributor to Yoga Journal, and her articles have appeared in numerous national publications including The New York Times and Reader's Digest. Her newest book, "Relax into Yoga for Seniors," co-authored with Kimberly Carson, will be published in November 2016. She is also author of "Yoga Sparks: 108 Easy Practices for Stress Relief in a Minute or Less," and "Healing Yoga for Neck and Shoulder Pain." With her Duke University cardiologist husband, Mitchell Krucoff, MD, she is co-author of "Healing Moves: How to Cure, Relieve and Prevent Common Ailments with Exercise." She is also creator of the audio home practice CD, "Healing Moves Yoga" and co-creator of the DVD "Relax into Yoga for Seniors." Carol is an IAYT-Certified Yoga Therapist (International Association of Yoga Therapists) and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance at their highest level(E-RYT 500). She serves on the peer review board for the International Journal of Yoga Therapy and has been privileged to study yoga with numerous master teachers for more than 40 years. This is an excellent introduction to yoga. It’s geared towards seniors but I think it would be beneficial to anyone learning the poses and setting up a home routine for themselves.
