I think that this is my favorite of the series so far. I mean, there wasn't anything wholly new other than the fact that Roarke played more than a token lover/husband role in this one....the man gets to show his protective side in a major way. You know how he's always toning Eve down, bringing her...

i really wish roberts would stay out of the whole wicca religion. she doesn't use christianity or judaism as a plot device, so i don't know why she thinks it's okay to do so with wicca.

I'm still not into this series and this is book 5. I think that after these many books it's probably not what I'm looking for in a futuristic romantic suspense book. I don't get the romance because I don't see these two matching up. She's a porcupine all the time and even though I see very small ...

Difficult case for Eve because she had to investigate a fellow cop and ended up in the middle of a crazy cult of the devil. This book was more dark than the previous because I didn’t predicted Roarke as a believer and Eve discovered there are more dangerous people in the world than just the regular ...

Wow that was quite a book. At times emotional and others, well the tattoo part was funny. Peabody is great. I think she'll be a really neat side kick. I'm curious to as what happens next.

I thought the storyline of this book was very interesting, although darker than I'm accustomed to. I enjoyed the different dynamics that the situations that took place created between Eve and some of the people she is close to, such as Feeney and Peabody. Roarke was a dream, as usual. I guess my mai...

9-8-12: I guess I made it about a year between re-reads this time. There's something about having these characters to fall back on (and travel through time with) when your life is falling apart.

Eve gets involved with witches and black magic in this story. It all starts at the funeral of a retired cop who apparently died of a heart attack. But when his granddaughter who is a student of Wicca is scared to death by some black magic users, Eve reopens the case. She is ordered to keep Feeney ou...
