This entry in the Vorkosigan Saga struck me as a little lighter than the others. It was very enjoyable, full of sparkling dialogue and the oversized personality of Miles. They mystery at the heart of the story was a bit contrived, I thought, and this one's not going to be my favorite.

Diplomacy can be tricky, especially when it's Miles going up against the Vor's traditional enemies, the Cetagandas. You get the feeling that this is all set-up for what's coming later, but it's always interesting set-up. I found myself strangely fascinated by the Cetagandan societal rituals and bubbles.
I liked this one marginally less than the others, since the plot is basically a standard whodunnit without the same evidence of Bujold's kickass gift for stunning plot developments.
