Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is on a AD530L Lexile reading level (1st grade reading level). This book is a fun way for students to chant the alphabet. Students can create their own coconut tree while placing the letters of the alphabet in the correct order on the coconut tree.

This book is by far one of my favorites! It is a DRA level 20 book. This book is targeted for children in kindergarten and below. This book can be used in the classroom as a resource when teaching students about the alphabet. I highly recommend this book for a younger classroom.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom can be integrated in many ways. This book is meant to be sung and can be incorporated into Music class. It also teaches the alphabet. I would use this to help my class identify the lower and upper case letters. Lexile Level: AD530L

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is such fun book for young readers to be exposed to the letters of the alphabet. The students stay engaged as they see if all of the letters will fit at the top of the coconut tree. One fun extension activity could be to make a large tree and display it on the white board or ...
