Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird’s adventures at the school take a mysterious turn. Those who appear to be friends are turning out to be enemies. And oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends. So begins the gripping third installment of this “highly addictive series” (Romantic Times), in which Zoey’s mettle will be tested like never before. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Zoey doesn’t have a clue how to help her, but she does know that anything she and Stevie Rae discover must be kept secret from everyone else at the House of Night, where trust has become a rare commodity. Speaking of rare: Zoey finds herself in the very unexpected and rare position of having three boyfriends. Mix a little bloodlust into the equation and the situation has the potential to spell social disaster. Just when it seems things couldn’t get any tougher, vampyres start turning up dead. Really dead. It looks like the People of Faith, and Zoey’s horrid step-father in particular, are tired of living side-by-side with vampyres. But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely reflects the truth…

Series: House of Night (#3)
'Believe in yourself, Daughter, and get ready for what is to come.' In the previous book, Zoey was juggling many things and situations.1. Stevie-Rae, Zoey's best friend and roommate, died, yet came back to life as an undead dead thing.2. Heath, Erik and Loren, her three boyfriends. 'I think I'm tu...
This book picks off directly where #2 ended. I'm still enjoying reading this series and will be continuing reading it for sure! The main story is quite good in my opinion. The only thing that's not to my liking is the love drama between Zoey and her "boyfriends", but it's not annoying enough to ruin...
I think I'm done listening to this series. I thought the first two were okay, the second one being the better one. But Chosen was so frustrating to listen to. Zoe is possibly the dumbest and most naive character I've read about in YA literature yet. In the end, she at least admitted to how dumb she ...
Zoey has to deal with her friend Stevie Rae’s death and return as the evil undead. Definitely something she has to deal withOf course that has to take a back seat to her constant conflict over three different love interests. The People of Faith also seem to have decided they hate vampires, but, re...
This was okay, just like the last one. However, by the end of this one I was pretty angry at just about everyone. I understand why Zoey had to keep so many secrets, even when they were piling up. She had to. She just couldn't trust anyone with knowledge that Neferet could use against her. I get that...
