This review was first posted on Music, Books and TeaI wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I went into Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor. I haven’t really read a lot of straight-up romance, only Nicholas Sparks books, which I enjoy, but I’m sure I’ve been missing out on something more. I was pleasa...
I am shocked. I didn't believe it was possible for me to EVER dislike a Kleypas book. How could this have happened? Before I start this review, I must first go back in time a few days...DATE : December 23TIME : Lazy afternoon with the kids out of the houseACTIVITY : My viewing of a taped movie - Chri...
This book is short, short, short and utterly lovely. Longer than a novella but still only 200 pages. It does work, because it's a holiday story and things get to move fast then.Mark is, well, quiet, I liked him. He takes good care of his niece. Sure he has some silly ideas, but he is good. Maggie ,...

To quote Publishers Weekly - “Sweet, romantic, and genuine…a refreshing holiday treat.” This is the story of a young ...
I LOVED it! This was such a warm holiday story and the romance was lovely. The dynamic between Maggie and Mark was wonderful. The dialogue in this book is just excellent. I should note that I am not generally a fan of children in the books I read. I tend to steer clear of them as a rule. Holly, Mark...
I have to agree with another review saying that things were too rushed. Even at the beginning, Holly goes from being completely mute to suddenly talking when a complete stranger gives her a conch shell and tells her its magic. It's just handwaved. And because a lot wasn't fleshed out, the characters ...
