This is a good book for very young children.It is a day with Chu and his pa, going to library, going to the restaurant, going to circus. And chu wants to sneeze, almost sneeze, but didn't sneeze. The illustrations are likable.
The main strength of Chu's Day is the artwork by Adam Rex. He did an amazing job telling the story visually. I especially loved the wary and defeated expressions on Chu's parent's faces. Neil Gaiman’s picture books are sort of a mixed bag for me. I want to love them, but I don’t quite. I thought that Chu’s Day would break that trend, but the abrupt ending make that, unfortunately, impossible.
