This book is one of those that I could never really decide if I liked it or not. It started out incredibly slow, but I appreciated the detail that was put into it by the end of it. It built the anticipation up just enough that I was pretty involved in the characters as it went on. I was definitely ...
I have lost all hope for humanity! So much loss, destruction. Even with the small snippets of hope dealt out through this book, the demise of hero's and the disappearance of key players end this sequel on a low, low note. I urge everyone to read this series! Even if you have started to watch the TV...
In anticipation for the TV show starting on July 13th, I finally read The Strain. IT. WAS. TERRIFYING!!!!! I LOVED it!!! This is a trilogy I am going to devour much like the Strigoi devour their victims! I can't wait for and have high hopes for this show!

Things are looking terrible for humanity as a Master vampire is busy taking over the US ...
Read this awhile back. Liked the premise, but it didn't quite hit all the marks. I enjoyed it overall. Would recommend for those who are a fan of vampire tales.
I really enjoyed this one. It was about half way thru the book before “vampire” was even mentioned. The disease aspect and the parasite theories of vampirism were very interesting, as the story progressed. This almost read like a movie to me. There was plenty of action, blood and suspense to sustain...
