Anita Blake is not what I pictured a vampire hunter would look like. Maybe that's why I enjoyed the book so much. Anita's character is resourceful, gritty, funny, and brave. This is the third Anita Blake Vampire Hunter book that I have read. I enjoyed it as much as the other two.
Now THIS is a series that I can get behind. Finally. After finishing Circus of the Damned, I can understand why people love this series so much. The story has finally gotten interesting, and Anita's becoming less of a prick. The suspense and tension is all there, and I found myself actually wishing ...
I am really enjoying my rereading of this series. Going back to the beginning of the series has reminded me why I continue to read along even though it has morphed into another beast entirely. These early books were so great because the men and the sex weren’t the focus of the entire freaking plot...
It was too cold to be standing outside with my jacket half-unzipped. But if I zipped it all the way, I'd never get to my gun in time. Freeze my butt off, or be able to defend myself. The clowns on the roof had fangs. I decided it wasn't that cold after all.I'm happy to say that this was an improveme...
4.5There's something about Anita Blake that I really like. She gets herself into so much trouble with her mouth. =) I liked how this one ended. If it weren't for the pumpkin sweater I might of given it a 5. (JK)
I am loving this series. I really enjoyed Jean-Claude being in this one a bit more. I have a love hate relationship with him though! I'm definitely looking forward to the next one!
I'm going back through and re-listening to the entire series, start to finish. I'm hoping to be done before the next book comes out. It'll be tight, but I think I can make it.Circus is a great book. Which I love all the books with Edward in them. Death always brings fun to a party. We meet Rich...
This is the third installment in the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series. As with the other two, this one also had a strong kick-ass woman in the lead. We find out a bit more of Anita and the monsters that exist in her world. There is also a suggestion that Anita has even more power than we have been...
Honestly, I could probably go on for awhile if I really thought about it, but I have to say that I liked this book. While the last one introduced us to Anita and her craft, this book introduces us to Jean-Claude and his manipulations. While his manipulations may have been set back a little with the ...
