I found this an interesting read about cleaning and the attitude to cleaning over the centuries. It's not very deep and doesn't make judgements about a lot of the practices, but does point out the irony that we're perhaps not doing ourselves any favours with the level of clean we expect today. 3.5 stars. A touch too dramatic at times and I wasn't fond of the pacing in the second half of the book.
