FREAKING INCREDIBLE.I loved both main characters. I loved the writing style. I loved Jamie as well. Not gonna lie sometimes I was a bit lost due to all the names and stuff but it didn't stop me from enjoying the book or losing the plot of it either.

For the book club meeting that I joined, my sister chose this particular book. It was one that I'd heard about, but had never really been sure I'd want to read. World War II and the Holocaust are very difficult topics, but I decided to give this one a chance. And I am so glad that I did.Elizabeth Wei...

I have very mixed feelings about this book. But at the end of the day I did enjoy it.I think I was expecting a different progression of the story, got a wee bit disappointed midway through then was adequately satisfied with how things wrapped up. Not blown away in the level I was expecting I suppose...

This is quite a masterpiece of a story. However, I do think it will appeal to only a certain type of person. If you loved The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and The Blood of Book and Shadow by Robin Wasserman (both which I gave high ratings) you'll love the storytelling in Code Name Verity. It strength ...

So one of the problems with me reading reviews, is when I know that there are a lot of twists, I have that in the back of my mind most of the time I am reading/listening. In this case I figured out a fair amount of plot points ahead of time. Predictable isn't always a bad thing, but it didn't work...

I initially picked up this book on a whim. I had heard good things about it, so when I saw it in the library, I decided to pick it up. I'm very happy I did. Set in WWII, the main character is a British (not English; she's Scottish, thank you very much) spy who has been captured in France by the en...

The last book of the year and it ended with a bang! I really liked this book and the way it developed. I can see how pretty much anything I say may be a spoiler, so I'll say this: if you read this book, try to find out as little as possible about it beforehand. Part of the beauty of the book is th...

I finished this several days ago but I needed some time to process everything before even attempting a review. I still have no idea how to review it without spoiling something so, I'm just going to say I loved it. It was amazing. It made me feel so many emotions that no other book has recently. I ha...

After many recommendations and requesting to be a giver for the book for World Book Night, I knew I’d read Code Name Verity. Only, I’m sad to say, I didn’t love it. It’s a setting and time period that I usually find very palatable in reading. It includes women doing awesome things and breaking ba...

Plot Summary: A British spy has been discovered in Nazi-occupied France. She's made a deal with the devil - to write down everything she knows, betraying her country, in two weeks. For everything that she writes down, the more time she has to live. The spy's story is intertwined with that of her bes...
