First Impression:A young girl who mysteriously turns kick-ass and has no idea where these powers come from. Some Japanese culture interwoven. Cole Gibsen keeps the spirit of samurai well and truly alive in this contemporary American tale with warrior heart. Rileigh Martin learns that it's possible to integrate a past life into the present, and still retain one's current personality. Bonus points to Katana for containing a love interest th...
You know, I think the Japanese are cool. They have ninjas and samurai and awesome weapons that look more like pieces of art, but that can behead a person with a single swoop. I know they like tea, and that they wear funny white socks in flip flops. They are completely awesome with technology, and ar...
Blurb:Kill Bill meets Buffy in this supernatural samurai tale.Rileigh Martin would love to believe that adrenaline gave her the uncanny courage and strength to fend off three muggers. But it doesn't explain her dreams of fifteenth-century Japan, the incredible fighting skills she suddenly possesses,...

The temptation of a supernatural mash-up with Asian culture was one with immeasurabl...
Thought it would be a bit better but that's because of my astronomical expectations. Some of the conflicts seemed superimposed and unnecessary. Decent read overall but I wish it wasn't so predictable and a bit more spice between Rileigh and Kim. LOVED Quentin, though!
