This is one of those "right book at the right time" reads for me. I decided to pick it up because it was recommended in Rick Steves' Rome 2013 (we are traveling there next year), but it turned out to be more than a travelogue. This book is about Elizabeth Gilbert figuring out what is most important....

Bored. Very selfindulgent book. I couldn't get past page 29 before I gave up.

I went in to this book thinking it would be a lovely trip through someone's life. Instead I got a book full of self-angst, depression and anxiety. I didn't hate it but I definitely didn't love it. I can see how some would find value in this self-discovery journey however, I did not. Maybe someday it will be important to me. The Italian and Indonesian portions of the book were the easiest for me to get through. The Indian portion made me feel l...
