3.5 stars. Nice little story with some pretty dramatic plot lines (which could have teetered over to melodrama but thankfully didn't) and sympathetic characters. Then it just kind of ends with an epilogue, leaving some dangling plots but nothing major.

This was an ok story for me. There were some plot holes and unfinished business bits. It felt the first book in a story-arc rather than a completed book. The ending happened rather quickly and left many things hanging. It feels HFN rather than HEA. This review was first posted on Goodreads.
