This review was also posted on TotalTeenFictionI'd had my eye on this book for a while now and I managed to snag it as a 99p Kindle bargain recently. Crewel tells the story of Adelice, who has spent years trying to hide her ability to see and weave matter. In Arras, people with this ability are whis...
Lost interest. It's not that it's a bad book. There are some plot holes, but overall the world building is all right. The writing is fairly good- at times it's even great.BUT THE CHARACTERS ARE ASSHOLES. Also, I just . . . lost interest. I'll check out stuff from this author in the future though.
*Genre* Young Adult, Dystopian*Rating* 3.5-4*Full Review Shortly*Interesting story and concept. Wonderful world building and characters. Idiotic 3 way love triangle that cost this book a higher rating in my little ole world. Naturally, this ends with a sort of cliffhanger that leads into the sequel.
My Rating: 3.5 Crewel was one of the books that had a lot of mixed reviews that came along with it. Some liked people it a lot while others loathed it with a passion. I was planning on staying away from Crewel, until the beautiful book trailer caught my attention. I also loved the slogan that goes ...
This book screamed, to me, one thing: Pun Fest. I think I'm teetering on either a 3 or 4.Adelice is a special girl who has the talent to weave the fabric of reality. At a young a...
3 stars. Um, let's see — there's not much to say about Crewel sadly. With all these raving reviews coming in, it's pretty much a given that I had high hopes for this — weaving time and matter? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Sounds epic. Except ... well, the book is kind of half-assed. I'm not saying the writing w...
3.5/5 I don't usually read a lot of science fiction. I like things explained to me and I like to understand it, and if theres something my brain won't comprehend it's science. Reading this book, I really had to stop and just accept the general ideas explained, without really grasping it. It felt a l...
3.5 Stars. Great world and really fascinating concept, but I didn't find myself attached to any of the characters. Will read the next one though, what an ending! Full review to come.
