Jacob Moby is a fugitive. He’s on the run for a murder he didn’t commit. Yet it’s hard for him to proclaim his innocence when the dead bodies keep stacking up and the price on his head continues to rise. It’s all his fault, really. You can’t expect to rip off one of the world’s richest and most powerful men, Hassan Khan, and get away with it.
Hassan Khan’s not alone either. He’s backed up by American billionaires like Stephen Mallory who have a network of affiliates who can control everything that happens to Jacob Moby. He’s scrambling for his life, but Jacob’s really just a puppet in their sick, twisted game of fortune and death.
To flee their ever-watchful eye, Jacob Moby heads back in time, back to the hangouts of his troubled youth. He reunites with some colourful characters in the New York underground, but nothing is quite what it seems. News of his recent escape from law enforcement has everyone hunting for Moby.
Somehow, his unbeatable luck has kept him alive this far, albeit through a haze of alcohol and pills. Yet everywhere Moby goes, he can’t find a moment for rest or shelter. As he starts to put the clues together about who is responsible for setting him up, Jacob struggles to simply stay alive. He knows that winning a landmark case against the multi-national Khan Bank might have something to do with it, but who would go through all this trouble just to have him hunted and killed?
Although the answers to his burning questions don’t quite pan out yet, Jacob does find a friendly face in all the madness. His limousine driver, John Denver might have some clues about Moby’s fate, especially since he seems to know exactly where Moby is hiding.
