This reads like a bunch if poems strung together. No real plot. But I enjoyed it for the most part. The ending made me roll my eyes but it wasn't as terrible as I thought t would be.
I hate to give up on books but I've been reading this for over a week and I'm not even halfway through it yet. It isn't badly written but I just find I'm not even slightly interested in what is going to happen. I don't feel connected enough to any of the characters to care about them. The book is OK ...
This review also available on my blog: Pansycake ReaderMatched was a decent book for me, so I didn’t expect much from Crossed, aside that I hoped I didn’t completely waste my time on this book. I was about to rate this book two stars – due to things I will mention below – but near the end it gets re...
DNFBecause I believe that everyone and everything deserves a second chance, I decided to give the Matched series a second chance by reading Crossed in the hopes that it would be better than the first book. I gave Matched two stars so to me, that meant that it wasn't bad enough for me to abandon the ...
After coming across various reviews and tweets raving about this series I just had to get my hand on it. I waited for all the three books in the trilogy to be released before starting on it and only recently finished reading them. Cassia is born into a Society where everything is controlled – from t...
a solid 3.5 stars!Matched was a shaky three and half only because there was something about it...as boring as it truly was there was just something… Crossed though, now this was pretty good. This whole read was like the equivalent of the 3rd chapter and further of Under The Never Sky (Ha!) but at le...
Quasi q...
I didn't enjoy this one as much as Matched. I thought the beginning was pretty good (some interesting dramatic irony), but the book started to drag pretty quickly. Too much poetry and introspection.
Why am I reading this when I disliked the first one so much? I honestly have no idea. Morbid curiosity perhaps. A severe case of masochism maybe. Your guess is as good as mine, but my hopes aren't high.
Read this in ebook format. Was frustrated because I kept wanting to skip to the end and see how far they got. Definately an inbetween book. Glad I waited until the 3rd book came out to read the 2nd!
