This paranormal romance was okay. It had too much hocus pocus for my taste. I kind of felt the heroine accepted the betrayals with insufficient atonement. Justine laments her lack of true love and at the same time the very rich Jason checks into her hotel.
I'm not able to rate this book right now. I've read too many other reviews and they're floating in my head. I'm going to leave some notes, and come back to this when I have some distance.Liked:* Justine, and everything about her (the inn, her support system, especially Sage and Rosemary)* Jason, and...
Well pooh, this one just didn't do it for me. I wanted to like it, but something about it was out of sync the whole book. Jason being soulless was enough for me, adding the witches bane in the mix was too much. Then all of the morphing of spells... eh, I stopped caring because it became too wishy-wa...
The fantasy elements in this series have gotten more blatant with each book, from the delicate suggestion of magic in the first to actual witches performing actual spells in this, the fourth. I had no major issues with it in the previous books, but I felt that Kleypas bit off more than she could che...
I really enjoyed this book. I'm a big fan of the entire Friday Harbor series and this book was a great addition to it. I have seen a host of mixed reviews on this one, so let me breakdown why it worked for me: 1. Jason (our hero) came across as really dark initially and I wasn't sure I would lik...
Crystal Cove reminded me too much of the movie Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock. I’m certain Lisa Kleypas didn’t intend for her story to read almost like an adaptation for a potential sequel to the film, but there were too many similar ideas about when witches fall in love and the consequences o...
OMG!!!!!! This series kept getting better and better with each book! I absolutely adored this series, it was amazing! Thnx Aly for recommending the series :))))
I have enjoyed every book in this series but this book was my favourite. The heroine Justine, we have all met in real life before. The person who is there for you when you need it and who steps so easily into the background at other times. We have met Justine in the previous books and seen that ...
