Initial thoughts: 4 stars. What a dreary world - Red Plague, evil villains, airships, and hungry crocodiles. A bit of an annoying love triangle but enjoyable nonetheless. The Review: The world of Dance of the Red Death is a dark and depressing place. The city has been devastated by the Red Death. The...

Find this review and others on my blog: My Friends Are FictionActual rating 3.5The Story:For me, Dance of the Red Death moved at a faster pace than the first. I was more invested in the story and felt more comfortable with the world and events. I could really see the influence of Edgar Allan Poe's ...

See more of my reviews on Birth of a New Witch! My copy was an ARC I received from the publisher via Edelweiss.Masque of the Red Death wasn't as good as I hoped it would be, but that wasn't enough to rule out reading the sequel. Honestly, with that ending, it was almost impossible for me not to read...

Solid 4.5I had trouble with this one in the beginning. Not because it was a bad book or because I wasn’t interested. It was purely because I couldn’t remember what the heck happened in the first part of the series because I read it so long ago! I couldn’t for the life of me remember what happened in...

I struggled with this book. A lot. I kept reading because I was expecting something amazing to happen. And it did, near the end. I loved the ending game for Araby, it was awesome. But it was too little too late.

Biggest disappointment I've had in a long time, so much so that I scanned more than read the last 20%. Absolutely worse than book one and the destroyer of my hopes. Review to come. ---Ohmygod, I'm going all fangirl, but I just love that title! It has the word "dance" in it, after all, and it sounds ...

I'm conflicted on this one.Dance of the Red Death is one of those books I feel like I have been waiting on forever and imagine my excitement when this was up on Edelweisse. I have to admit, I was a bit underwhelmed with this one which has me very conflicted because I love Araby’s story and loved Ma...

Because I absolutely loved MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH, DANCE OF THE RED DEATH had some big shoes to fill. I knew this book was going to focus more on the revolution and wasn't sure I could love it as much as I had loved book 1. But once it really got going, it really had me in its grip and I could not ...
