Dark Places, is a story based on satanic-ritual-massacre kind of killings which took place in Missouri. This book swings between the present and past, narrated alternately by the protagonist Libby Day, her mother Patty, and the main suspect for the murders, her brother Ben.

Desperate for cash, Libby accepts an offer from 'The Kill Club', a group of people interested in unusual murders, which says that her brother Ben was wrongly accused, and not guilty of murdering her family.
Dark Places follows how Libby tries to uncover the past and find the real killer without the help of Ben himself. Given the point that the murders take place twenty-four years ago, it is more difficult for her to unravel the truth.
