I'm alittle on the fence about this book. On the one hand I enjoyed the main character's relationship, it was very cute and lovable. On the other hand with the exception of the possibility of a cure for their conception problems, I wasn't really interested in anything else that happened in the book....
I liked the characters much better in this one than the last. Dax was alpha without being a jerk. He didn't push Riley around and seemed to really appreciate her strengths and powers. But it took forever for the hero and heroine to actually meet. And I kind of got bored with the whole Mitro storylin...
Alas, I may be coming to the end of my time with the Carpathian series. For so long, it has been my guilty pleasure. After all, you can't get all that white lightning, feminine sheaths or velvet over steel just anywhere. In these books, you are guaranteed to find the most alpha of the alpha-males...
The first half of this book was like reading the series for the first time. I experienced that same sense of excitement and enthrallment that I had when I picked up Dark Prince for the first time. I enjoyed seeing each character's actions/reaction before they met the other. And once they met each...
Whoa, this was so not for me. Just FYI, Dark Storm didn't strike me as a romance. It was much more a Feehan style action story with a 'Carpathian' couple involved.
