Not my favorite Christie but an entertaining read for most of it. There's not enough Poirot and the other characters seem rather flat.

Really good book, and definitely one of the cases where, I suspect if I read it again or watched it again, I could spot the clues in hindsight (as opposed to Murder on the Orient Express, where many of them aren't there.

B Plot gets me every damn time! Also, Agatha Christie's Kilgore Trout-ian Ariadne Oliver appears and that's never a bad thing.

I loved hearing David Suchet (who plays Hercule Poirot on tv) reading this book! I've never read any Agatha Christie before, and I would probably balk at how dated they are, but hearing Suchet made me feel immersed in a way the book might not have.
