I've read through quite a lot of the book and it's definitely a different read. I've stopped reading though. The way the book is set up (a combination of letter, diary entries and letters) makes it too hard for me to follow along. Somehow my brain doesn't connect with this kind of story-telling.
Dawn of Steam was a wonderfully written story told through diary entries by a husband, with notes by his wife to explain things for the readers. This style of writing definitely reminded me of Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" with how it was formatted. I enjoyed getting the story from both a profession...
