I truly love this series! The characters are fantastic and the story is thoroughly engrossing. The world of this series is a wonderful blend of the real and the imagined and they fit together seamlessly. The cast of characters expands in this series and they are all beautifully developed. But A...

I predicted that this book was going to be really heavy after the way the first one ended, and I was not disappointed. This book's focus was not so much on the love story between Karou and Akiva, but rather, the atrocities of the war between their peoples, and the parallels between them. The auth...

Days of Blood and Starlight is the second book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. This book has all the ingredients needed for me to love it: impossible love between two enemies, badass female characters (can’t seem to get tired of that) and good against evil where the good is not that good a...

I still love these books so much, and I'm glad that I'm letting myself reread them. I like Taylor's writing and how this book has so much sadness in it but it also has relief it the right ways. I love that this book doesn't suffer from weak middle book syndrome. I can't wait to get to Dreams of Gods...

Taylor's style of writing reaches a slow-building crescendo that is well-worth the long attention span and extensive effort soaking in this book needs. There's an abundance of dark, heart-wrenching scenes revolving around Karou & Akiva, there's pounding, tense action, there's light glimmers of hope,...

Daughter of Smoke & Bone 2 Yes I finally finish the book, I like it... not like the first one but it was good, difficult to read in parts and I hated the writer for a few pages... but is all good now lol. I love Ziti.
AnHeC (I'm too fucking busy and vice versa)
While this book started about as bland as the last one ended, soon things began to move. It wasn’t thrilling by any means, but decent. The action picked up, the main characters (lovey-dovey) were still separated, which is to what I attribute the change. Magical-pointless-love nonsense has been excha...

All of her life Karou wanted to know why Brimstone made her collect teeth and as with many things in life, the answer is so much more than she is prepared for. Facing the genocide of her people, the Chimera, Karou is racked with guilt for having not only dared to love an angel but to dream of a new...

Hi guys, I hope you're having a great day! This is my review to Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor and is the second book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy. Once upon a time, an angel and a devil held a wishbone between them. And its snap split the world in two. Once upon a time, ...

So I FINALLY got onto book two of this really quite amazing series and it was a perfect follow up to "Daughter of Smoke and Bone" - I loved it entirely. The world building is quite simply brilliant, the characters are all so beautifully drawn that they just get into your head and stay there and the m...
