Sookie has a run of really bad luck in this story. And, even though she's always felt like an outsider, her friends demonstrate their care for her over and over in this story. An interesting development is how my opinion changed of Alcide. Not to mention all the "men" interested in Sookie...I'll jus...

I feel a slight decrease regarding the quality of the series. It's quite okay to get through but this will be the last book I'll be reading by Charlaine Harris. I'd rather be watching True Blood and LOOK at Eric than to be reading about him (Alexander Skarsgård = eyecandy).

I'd never want to stand in a bathing suit next to Heidi Klum. Or sing after Aretha Franklin. Who would? We'd all suck by comparison. Much like any book with the misfortune of coming after the best installment of a series. The first time I read Dead as a Doornail, I thought it was lame. It's abou...

Not really my favorite in the series, but it was enjoyable. Bill and Eric were not as prevalent in this one, which was okay by me because I was entertained with the potential new man in Sookie’s life- Quinn. Although there was plenty of drama there were no steamy scenes except for a passionate kiss....

After the fun and games of Dead to the World I was expecting a bit more from this, the 5th book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. It's almost a case now of there has to be something wrong with the Cook at Merlottes and the Bartender at Fangtasia. Something needs to change. The story was somewhat res...

I keep saying I'm going to take a break from the series after I finish each book, but then I just pick the next one up. It's like crack, this vampire stuff.Another solid entry in the series. I read this almost in one sitting on a Friday night, into the wee hours of the morning. Harris seems to be ge...

As always Harris has constructed a lovely and fun read, and I was not disappointed in the least. I love the way she ties together loose ends from previous books and introduces a future plot before you even get there. It makes it all much more believable. Can't wait to start Definitely Dead

Now I am remember this book!I KNEW that I read all of the installments of Sookie Stackhouse and for the life of me could not figure out why I did not edit it on GR that I've read this one. I just simply don't know. After reading a couple of the reviews on here I began to notice that I did read this o...

Entrée a a whole new collection of cast members.Sookie's entourage is rapidly increasing--from all sorts of supernatural species. Eric, although still persuing her affections is back to being a total dick--while somehow managing to still captivate me as a reader. What can I say? I am in love with...
