It was nice to get back to these characters after a long break, what with the last book being about a year old and the show on extended hiatus. I found that there was enough plot in here to sustain the first half of a book. Sookie isn't the most engaging heroin now that her world overpowers her e......
Enjoyed the book. It wasn't as good as previous books in the series, but I enjoyed it. I was disappointed by Eric and Sookie's relationship being shot down to the gutters. I wonder what's going to happen with his betrothal and whether or not Sookie and Bill will be given a second chance.
I had to push my nose to the page to get over the dull winding road that soaked up those first few chapters (100 or so pages). All the ‘I said’, ‘he said’, ‘and then he said’ tags were a week point for the story. I know Sookie is a country girl but she didn’t talk that way in the other books, and ...
I'm not sure if I've just grown as a writer/editor/reader, but I didn't enjoy this book, nor the story as a whole. There were inconsistencies aplenty, like people suddenly appearing here or there without any mention of them moving, and so much time is spent on pointless things like dishes and decor...
This book is taking me forever to read, i´m usually a fast reader but i´m just not feeling this one. Can´t shake the feeling that CH is saying goodbye to Eric & Sookie. Like in this excerpt (p 152)"It felt great to see Amelia, and I felt relieved that my conversation with Eric had been interrupted. ...
Very, very interesting. It looks like Harris is up to her old tricks, blending the uncertainty of real life with the relationships and day to day struggles of her characters. Nothing lasts forever. There was some sexual chemistry from some very unexpected sources, and the supernatural jockying is...
I really enjoyed this book and I finished it in one sitting. I was a little skeptical this time around since book 10 just wasn't all that great, but since I can't give up my Sookie obsession I bought this book the day it released. Without giving too much away, I was totally heartbroken when the re...
Posted on Book Chelle.Note: Reading the 11th book in the Sookie Stackhouse series has made me realize that I should reread the books and give them all proper reviews. As I should with several books in series that are still ongoing.I have had a love/hate with Sookie since the first time I met her in ...
Complete disappointment! Everything is going in circles, nothing new and it seems that Eric and Sookie are going to break up and Sookie is going to be in another love triangle (or more "angles") - Bill, Sam maybe even Dermont. Who knows? This book is just boring.
