http://lisleslivres.blogspot.com/2012/10/review-dead-to-you-by-lisa-mcmann.htmlJust get used to it. When I love an author's work, I'm going to then read them all. Besides Cryer's Cross, which I am halfway through, and the Unwanteds, her middle grade novel, I've read all of Lisa McMann's books. Af...
I'll admit, I was drawn in by the cover of this one. I had NO idea what the book was about when I picked it up, but the cover was pretty and the blurb on the inside of the jacket drew me in.Dead to You is the story of Ethan, who was abducted at the age of seven and, in the opening pages of the stor...
I enjoyed reading this to a point. I figured out the plot twist and thought it was predictable. But, what can you do? Would have liked the conclusion to not have been so abrupt. It was off putting and just not the best way to end it IMO.
Discussing Lisa McMann's Dead to You under the assumption others have read it seems far easier than writing a review for people who haven't. I will reveal spoilers and kill a reader's curiosity if I prod further than the summary, which informs: seven-year-old Ethan is abducted off the sidewalk in fr...
Ethan was abducted at the age of 7 and was raised by a woman who abandoned him years later. At 16 years old, he is reunited with his real parents, younger brother Blake and his sister Gracie who was born after Ethan was kidnapped. The book shows the family's struggle with each other as Ethan re-ente...
What is it about Lisa McMann's writing that makes me read so quickly? I flew through the Wake Trilogy, and through this book. The twist at the end is crazy, too. I'm curious about whether or not there will be a sequel to this book. I kind of want to know what Ethan does with the new information he's...
This book.Wow.Dead To You was absolutely incredible.I haven't really ever been a huge fan of Lisa McMann's work.I mean, I'm not saying she isn't a great, great author. I'm just saying that her previous books have never grabbed me the way Dead to You did.The story was very interesting.I would try to ...
I didn't care for this one. I'd recommend this to middle-grade readers. The plot is plodding and the ending is very predictable, but it's got enough of a hook for younger readers.
Review as seen on Ed and Em's Reviews!5/5 StarsI feel sick over this book. It was brilliant.Everything Lisa McMann writes is phenomenal. This book was not what I was expecting. Though, I've come to realize that Ms. McMann doesn't exactly have the greatest relationship with happily ever afters. I LOVE...
Okay, I admit the twist was a good one but j hate how quickly it ended. I mean it gave no closure and I feel like it should be longer or a series of books.
