Not my favorite of the three. Long on detail and description, short on plot. Still, I did finish it, and I didn't hate it. I just think this book would have been better served with most of it cut out and put into book three. There doesn't always have to be a trilogy. Just sayin'.
This was an excellent second book in the series, following after the events of Feed. I don't want to dance around any spoilers, but there is a huge event at the end of Feed which has ramifications here. And again, even though there are zombies in the book, its more about journalism, relationships...
I definitely liked Feed more than I liked Deadline. There seemed to be a lot of exposition in this book and not enough action. I admit that I found some of it a little confusing. Going back and reading over some parts helped. That being said, I was surprised to find that I liked Shaun as a narrator....
